Well shit. Outscored 17-3 in three games, 1-4 on the road trip, and the team is below .500 again. Streaky, thy name is Senators.

The Sens actually controlled the play pretty well through the 1st, and were up by 1 until taking four penalties in a row, giving up three goals in 1:28 (only one on the PP though) and then a pretty end-to-end rush by Andy McDonald. Funny, just this morning I was listening to Puck Daddy Radio and they had someone on from a Blues blog to talk about how the lack of scoring from their big guns was a factor. Tonight they got goals from Boyes, McDonald and Brewer. Lastly, this is the first game this season that the Sens have lost after scoring first.

Can the Sens stop taking back-to-back-to-back penalties? Will Karlsson’s game ever steady itself independent of his confidence? Can we stop giving up fifty fucking goals every game? Will I ever be able to save enough money for a down payment on a house? No.

If the Sens get back from this road trip having only won one game, someone’s getting traded.
